Who We Are
The mission is to support, promote, and maintain the health, independence, quality of life, and productivity of individuals with Spinal Cord Injury and Disorders (SCI&D). There are 2 basic types of facilities: SCI Center and SCI Primary Care Teams.
SCI Primary Care Team: The Team is made up of at least one doctor, nurse, and social worker who helps with the everyday healthcare needs of veterans with a spinal cord injury or disorder. Veterans should receive routine care. SCI Primary Care Team is also called "Spokes".
