Who We Are
LINK of Hampton Roads has an emergency shelter program for male veterans. The shelter provides a safe, comfortable environment that promotes stability and reintegration into independent living. Support programs and help to find resources are offered to each veteran during their stay. Veterans Brochure
The Emergency Shelter program is a partnership with the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
The program has 3 houses for Veterans in need of rehabilitative housing as they recover from illness. The VA Medical Center in Hampton contracts with LINK to provide housing and supportive services, transportation, meals, obtaining identification (if lost), assisting with resume writing and job placement, and more.
Each house has two house managers to assist the Veterans in cooking and re-learning to care for themselves. Transportation is provided for them for medical appointments.
