We understand that health care expenses are often unexpected and paying for services can be overwhelming. If you cannot pay your bill, ask about financial assistance.   Sentara offers financial assistance programs to patients who qualify. All assistance programs are based on family size, income and other resources that can be used to pay the bill.

Free care is available to insured or uninsured patients whose household income is 200% or below the federal poverty level with less than $50,000 in available assets.   If you think that you may be eligible for financial assistance or care at a reduced rate based on your income, please complete a Financial Assistance Application
